From September 15 to October 14, I went home to New York to see family, friends, and of course, my brand new baby nephew, Aron.

It was so good to see everyone. I don't think a month ever passed by so quickly -- and I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to see you all as much as I would have liked.

During my month back, I enjoyed good friendship over Indian, Thai, Szechuan, Shanghainese, Mexican, Greek, Venezuelan, Filipino, Caribbean, Vietnamese and various fusion cuisines. There was stimulating conversation accompanied by dim sum, tapas, Midwestern-style BBQ, Kosher deli sandwiches and matzoh ball soup, classic American burgers and cupcakes. And, of course, Mom and Dad's first-rate homecooking surrounded by warm family cheer.

So... um... I need to get back to my swimming regime soon... and maybe join a gym.

Little Aron finally made his appearance on September 29. He was 6 lbs. and 9 ozs. but is getting bigger and bigger by the minute. My brother and sister-in-law are thrilled to bits, and everyone is just gaga over him. Isn't he a cutie?
